Racoon - (Robin Hobart) a mutant martial artist. Parnter and lover of Panda. Enemy of Tigerman II.

Rainbow - (Amanda Kelly) projector of multicolored energy blasts. Member of the Protectors.

Rays - (Chadwick McKaye) a college student who uses a super-suit to fight evil. Member of the West Coast Wonders.

Requiem - sonic scream villain. Brother of Chiller. Leader of Deathstroke.

Ricochet - (Thomas Johnson) youthful speedster. Member of the Protectors and the Justice Gang.

Ripper - a monsterous powerhouse super-villain. Often imprisoned in the Stronghold in Phoenix, AZ.

Robinson, Dr. Ellen - graduate of Claremont College. Employed at METE in Florida, studying extraterrestrial physiology. Married to Xanis Calnar (Space Lord).

Robotman - see Xarvian.

Rough Justice - a loosely based team of heroes who operated briefly in Baltimore, MD.

Rubberman - (Fredric Gennz, deceased) stretchable sleuth. Member of the Justice Gang.

Ruby Tuesday - (Jill Allister) super-heroine/model.
