World of Maenza: Online Issue #27
Welcome to another issue of my Champions APA.
Once again, I continue to revisit of my 1989-1991 Rough Justice campaign. On the fiction side, we have "Sword Quest", a tale that takes the team from Baltimore to Hawaii.
To go with that story, I have some details on the team that makes a guest appearance in the story - the Hawaiian Highguard. This is a team mentioned in Scott Burnham's "the AEGIS Aggregate" zine presented in the Clobberin' Times #8 back in 1988. I've adapted some of them to fit into my gaming world and designed looks for all of them but Hula Girl, who appeared fully with character sheet in Scott's zine.
I have also included gaming statistics for vampires as they are portrayed in my world. Note, I went with this take in the early 90's as part of the Rough Justice campign. Had I devised them today, I'd tend to favor more elements from Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel television series (which I am just getting into, via DVD, this Spring for the first time and loving!).
Then the story continues with "Interview with a Vampire", where Karishi gets a chance for a little one-on-one with a certain blonde haired Romanian.
To go with that story, I have prepared sheets on Johann G. Kirchoff, which is one of my "Enemies Revisited" entries, and the fabled Sword of Seimei. Make sure you look at these sheets after reading the fiction, to avoid spoilers.
