World of Maenza: Online Issue #21
Welcome to another issue of my Champions APA. Let's get right to it.
Since last issue worked so well with fiction from a solo game run, I thought it was time for me to document my longer running campaign in the new online format. So, starting this issue I dip back into the well from the Rough Justice campaign.
As long time members of the Times and other paper APAs recall, Rough Justice was the team in a campaign I ran in 1990 through 1991. It was my first time actually GMing, and I tried to tie in a number of elements of my gameworld into the adventures. By the same token, a lot of interesting elements for my gameworld came out of the run, thanks to the creativity of the players involved.
Beginning this issue, I've converted the first few runs into fictional story format. Set in 1990, the tales are "More Than Meets the Eye" (which adapts the first run in the campaign) and
"Turn To the Stone" (which was a solo session I did with one of the players and features a few guest-stars).
To go with the stories, I have a couple character sheets as well. Presented in digital format are the final stats for player characters Phaedrus and
Karishi. Some of the elements on the sheets reflect events in the campaign which I'll chronicle further in fiction in upcoming issues. For now, I kept their background and such limited to the time up to the beginning of the campaign (I'll update them again as events progress to allow old and new readers the chance to enjoy the fiction).
