Villain Files: Madame Mammoth
(under 4th Edition rules)

Background: Margo Thompson learned at a very young age that she had to be tough in order for others not to push her around. In fact, she ended up being so confidant that she ended up bullying the bullies. She got involved in weight lifting and bodybuilding as a teen and even took some experimental steroids. They ended up triggering a metahuman gene in her, and over time she grew stronger and more tougher.

In her early twenties, she joined the women's roller derby circuit. She was soon dubbed Madame Mammoth due to her charging form and unyielding technique. For a time she even held the title of 'queen of the derby'. While she excelled on the circuit, the money and fame was not enough for her. She often committed crimes on the side with the aid of her henchmen, the Highrollers (a trio of bodybuilding skaters). Her activities eventually crossed paths with the heroine Amazon, and the two became arch-enemies ever since.

Mammoth later teamed up with a number of other super-villains as the Octagon. After one outing where the team of eight was beat by the Protectors, Mammoth reteamed with three of others from that group as the Evil Elite. They even once brainwashed Amazon and convinced her to turn on her teammates in the Protectors.

Motivation: Mammoth is a very bossy woman and doesn't take well to anyone else leading. She also does not look favorable on failures or freeloaders. She is very agressive, merciless and has grand desires to be the best at whatever she does. Her own arrogance and feelings of superiority has lead to her downfall on more than one occasion.
