Background: Background: During ancient times, Mekona was one of many magic users who communed together to improve their skills. This blonde haired, statuesque woman was strong and capable. The only outward appearance for any dependency was her devotion to the dark-haired Setar. When the sorcerors were sought for enslavement, the lead wizard Gattasurzar cast their essences into gemstones and scattered them across the planet and cosmos. Mekona was in fact transformed into the gemstone that would be her embodyment for many centuries. Her gemstone was found by ancient tribes and fashioned into part of a statue of worship. The statue, known as the Eye of Inja, eventually found its way into the hands of archeologists who in turn lent it out for display to musuems. In the Spring of 1990, the statue went on display at Baltimore's Dillin Memorial museum. It was there that the villain the Sinister Spectrum released her from captivity. Spectrum was in fact the embodiment of her former lover Setar. The two fought a group of local heroes who eventually formed the team Rough Justice but were not detained by the authorities. The heroes tracked the couple down a month or so later and fought them once more. Before that though, the couple got married and Mekona has now adopted the identity of Crystal Lindberg. Motivation: Crystaline is a woman who tends to react quickly but with great determination. She is unaccustomed to modern times, so there is a lot she needs to learn about. Because of that, she tends to depend more than ever on her newlywed husband.
