Background: The Taurusian race evolved from creatures on their world that were similar to the bull of Earth. They became the dominant species on their home planet, although it took longer for them to become truly civilized. For hundreds of years, they maintained tribe mentalities and often warred among themselves. By their nature, they are fierce combatants and their discovery of how to perfect weapons like clubs, maces, axes and swords only added to the amount of bloodshed spilled across their home world.
At some point, a charismatic leader united many of the tribes and sought to build something bigger. The advent of an industrial revolution further propelled the race in its longevity. Eventually, they developed the means of space travel and sought other worlds with which they could rule with an iron fist. However, they soon found there were others in the universe as ruthless, if not moreso, then they. This lead to many battles with other races. The Taurusians eventually found themselves as foot-soldiers in the mighty armies of the conquering race known as the Destroyers. They viewed this as a better alternative than being enslaved or wiped out entirely as the Destroyers often did to worlds they encountered. When the Destroyers were all but eliminated, the Taurusians used this as an opportunity to gain some of which that their former masters had. They have been trying to expand their territories as much as possible in the cosmos without spreading their forces too thin.
Appearance: Taurusian males are large, muscular figures - weighing in at an average of 300 lbs. The female of the species are a bit smaller in frame and weight (average 200 lbs) but are equally as muscular. Their leather-like skin is covered with dark, fine hair. They typically have small horns atop their head. Their eye color ranges from dull brown to bright red. Their teeth are sharp and made for tearing into flesh. |
